Some of the most impactful traditions on the University of Miami campus during March Madness include gathering at the Rathskeller to watch games, where students and fans come together to cheer on the Hurricanes in a spirited atmosphere. If we’re fortunate enough, there’s also the excitement of watching our team play live at the Watsco Center, a privilege we especially valued during our incredible Final Four run just two years ago. Other beloved traditions include hosting watch parties on the green spaces of campus, wearing orange and green to show school spirit, and participating in pep rallies organized by the Band of the Hour and Hurricane cheerleaders to build momentum and pride throughout the tournament.

I am the President of the National Society of Black Engineers, Vice-President of Planet Kreyol, Event's Coordinator for the Eta Delta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity incorporated, mentor for the Beyond the Horizons program, and a facilitator for the Impact Leadership Retreat program under the Butler Center for Leadership and Service.

I would book a space on campus to set up a game night where I would host a watch party, decorate the room with a march madness themed layout, have food along with games to create a fun and exciting atmosphere for people to enjoy themselves. I would also host a giveaway and create some form of basketball competition (maybe a mini hoop shootout) to determine the winner.
