I'm comfortable with this schedule! I'm an extremely punctual, organized person, and tend to schedule everything in my life down to a tee. Juggling many responsibilities during undergrad has taught me how to plan my time and structure my professional life around my personal life and educational career.

Working at Madison Square Garden for three years has taught me how to be more personal toward guests. One man, Arthur, who regularly comes to Knicks games, always orders the same thing: a pepperoni pizza slice, halved and with a small cherry Italian ice. One night when he came up to order from me, I said his full order to him before he even had the chance to say anything to me, and the rest is history! That was in my first year. He still comes to every Knicks game and tips me $10 every time, knows me by name and even checks in with me about how school is going. Knowing how to connect with individuals and showing genuine attention or interest goes a long way.

Very recently I had the experience of being a poll worker for the mayoral primary in New York City, and was tasked with having to tell a politician and their entourage to promote their campaign elsewhere. I noticed the politician was wearing a pair of Prada loafers I genuinely liked, struck up a conversation based on that, then eventually asked them to move down the block to a different location. Keeping it light, complimenting their style and maintaining an approachable demeanor helped me make a potentially awkward situation natural, while mitigating any chance of a negative interaction.
