What strategies would you use to generate buzz for a vegan beauty brand?
To generate buzz for a vegan beauty brand, I would lead with performance and ease first, not perfection.
The messaging would focus on doing better where you can, even if you are not fully vegan. That makes the brand feel welcoming instead of intimidating.
Content would highlight results, wear tests, and ingredient education in a simple way, showing that choosing a vegan product can be an easy swap rather than a lifestyle overhaul.
Working with creators who are not strictly vegan but care about mindful choices helps the brand feel relatable and realistic. I would also lean into community-driven content that celebrates small efforts, like trying one vegan product at a time, to build buzz while reinforcing that progress matters more than being perfect.

How do you engage an online community around a product launch?
From my experience as a social media coordinator at the University of Winnipeg, I’ve learned that strong launches are built around making the community feel involved.
Before a launch, I focus on teaser and educational content that builds anticipation.
During the launch, I use interactive formats like polls, question boxes, and short form video to encourage engagement and feedback.
After launch, I stay active in the comments, reshare community content, and create follow-up posts that answer common questions. This approach worked well for engaging students at UW, and I apply the same community-first mindset to product launches.
