Can you provide an example of a successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing goals?
One successful collaboration I led was during my time as Deputy Secretary General for AUSCHOOLMUN 2024. To ensure the success of the conference, I worked closely with a cross-functional team that included logistics coordinators, finance managers, academic advisors, and the social media team.
Our marketing goal was to increase delegate registrations and visibility of the event. I coordinated with the media team to design a strategic content calendar, incorporating promotional posts, chair introductions, and countdowns. Simultaneously, I worked with the finance team to manage payment workflows and incentives, ensuring early-bird pricing was well-advertised.
By aligning academic planning with marketing—highlighting compelling committee topics and chair profiles—we created cohesive messaging that resonated with our target audience. This collaboration resulted in a record number of delegate sign-ups and engagement across platforms, achieving and exceeding our original marketing targets.
