Tell us about a time you convinced someone to say yes — whether it was for a job, a collab, a favor, or anything else. How did you approach it?

I asked a professor if I could submit a final project using Canva instead of a standard PowerPoint. I explained how it allowed for stronger visual branding and could better showcase layout and storytelling, especially for marketing. She approved it, and even mentioned using Canva herself next time.

Pick a creator you like. How would you pitch them on joining our platform in a way that feels personal and not generic?

Pitch to Jake Shane:

Hi Jake! I love how your content taps into pop culture but still feels like something you'd hear in a close friends groupchat. It's funny, unfiltered, and totally relatable. I work with Vidovo, a platform that connects creators like you with brands looking for truly unique, high quality UGC. Your skit-style videos are exactly the kind of scroll stopping content that brands need right now. I’d love to tell you more if you're open to it!

What’s one DM or cold email you’ve written (or would write) to pitch yourself or an idea to someone you admire?

I’d write a DM that feels casual, friendly, and personalized. Something that doesn’t come off like a copy-paste pitch. I would compliment something specific about the creator’s content to show that I’ve actually followed their work. Then I’d introduce myself, explain why I’m reaching out, and why I think the opportunity fits them. I’d keep the tone conversational and real so it feels like it came from a person, not a brand bot. My goal is to make them feel genuinely seen and excited to collaborate, not like they’re being sold to.
