During my internship, I was allowed to work for local foster families by providing them with a fun event for Valentine's Day. The foster families enrolled in our programs through Boise Angels were invited to join our organization for free doughnuts and raffle prizes. It was my responsibility to throw the event. I was able to make creative decisions regarding the flyers/invitations, location, activities, music, announcements, etc. I guided and directed my team toward completing the tasks to make this event entertaining for each attendee. It was fulfilling to see my event so lively and appreciated. The smiles from each family member made every bit of the process very enjoyable.
