I keep up to date with the current trends by not searching deliberately for what I want to search for, but instead let the algorithm take me to where most people are liking, sharing, or engaging with in general. Searching for hashtags like #trending also helps, as well as checking in on recent reposts of my friends, which would also help me get a gist of what's currently up.

I insert a powerful attention-getter at the beginning, like a funny meme clip or using catchy visual effects. These are especially effective on short-form content, which is the rage of the current algorithm. As for text types of content, using a lot of emojis and varying lower and upper cases manages to engage the minds of the readers a lot more.
