Can you give an example of a detailed QA report you have created in the past?
I conducted 100s of website/app/prototype tests in the past through UserTesting and did QA work while I worked as a Software/Automation intern at Verizon and Siemens.
The specific experience that stood out the most was when I tested a soccer game that was going to be released on the app store. It was super enjoyable because I play/watch soccer and there was a clear structure/goal for the app. I started by testing core functionality then over a few weeks gradually moved on to testing user experience and optimizations. It was great to see the app grow in such a short time frame (few months) and eventually see it get released on the app store.
While I can't share the exact reports due to confidentiality agreements, this is what the skeleton of a typical report I have done would look like:
Overview
Severity Level
Steps to reproduce
Expected vs Actual
Screenshots/videos

How do you approach identifying and documenting bugs in digital products?
I approach identifying and documenting bugs in digital products systematically. I think it's super important to put myself in the shoes of potential/actual users so I can test the app/website from their perspective.
To stay organized and make sure all bases are covered, I usually start by outlining all the test cases. While I do this, I try to think what the average user would do, and perhaps more importantly, what the "worst"/most unexpected user behavior would be. This helps me cover any edge cases.
Then while testing the actual cases, I make sure to document everything in a clear and concise manner so that it can be understood and reproduced by developers and others. This can include taking screenshots/screen recordings and writing down clear steps/descriptions. I also make sure to test in as many different environments as possible such as Android vs iOS, different OS versions, different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
I also vary my approach based on what level I'm testing on. For example, if testing the UI, I focus on user flows, visual aspects, responsiveness, etc. Then if doing function/integration/core testing I look for things like performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
Finally, if available, I like using tools to streamline the process such as browser devtools, Postman, Jira, etc.

Yes, I am currently a soccer player/coach. These days I play/train for fun and coach at an academy. In the past I played for various youth clubs and high school varsity.
