How do you define and measure success for a social media account?
I define success on social media by both engagement and impact, it’s not just about follower count, but how people interact with the content. I look at metrics like likes, comments, shares, reach, and saves to see what’s resonating, especially with the student audience. If a post starts conversations, gets shared around campus, or leads to real-world actions like sign-ups or event turnout, I consider that a success. I also use tools like Instagram Insights and TikTok analytics to track growth over time and adjust the content strategy based on what’s working.

Can you walk us through a successful social media campaign you've managed in the past?
Recently, I worked on a collaboration with a nearby apartment complex where I helped create a mini social media campaign to boost their visibility among college students. I started by building a content calendar to stay organized, planning out Instagram posts, Reels, and stories focused on their amenities, leasing info, and events. I made sure the content felt fun and relatable for students, and I even involved people from my campus by featuring student perspectives and encouraging engagement through giveaways and polls. The campaign helped increase their follower count and brought in real student interest, which felt like a big win.

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies?
I stay updated on social media trends by actively creating content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where I pay close attention to trending sounds, formats, and hashtags. Through my experience working with brands like Prime Energy and as part of my sorority’s event and content planning, I’ve learned how to quickly spot what’s gaining traction and adapt it to fit a brand’s voice or a specific audience, especially on a college campus.
