Beyond Meat Profile Image

Describe your food and beverage choices during the holiday season (including brands - if relevant).

I have been a vegetarian for the last 6 years now including holidays. I actually decided to stop eating meat about one week before Thanksgiving and came home from college and simply told my mom I could not eat almost all of the things she was planning on preparing for the holiday. She was very supportive and we worked together to find alternatives and substitutes for almost all of the major dishes on the table. Unfortunately, the biggest thing we still to this day have not been able to find a worthy subsitute for is the turkey or ham. I have tried Field Roast and Tofurkey substitutes but none of them quite fill the hole in my heart. As a result, my holiday meals primarily consist of a vegetarianized array of sides although I am always quick to try whatever the latest meat alternative is on the market.
