A creative way I would lead sampling efforts on and off campus is by turning them into fun, interactive moments instead of simple giveaways. In NYC, on campus, I would set up pop-up beauty stations in high-traffic areas or during student events where people can try products, swatch shades, or get quick touch-ups between classes. I’d encourage students to take photos or videos, tag ColourPop, and share their looks for a chance to be featured. Off campus, I would take advantage of NYC’s energy by partnering with local cafés, boutiques, or community events to include samples in goodie bags or host mini beauty moments. I’d also bring samples to social gatherings and talk about the products in a natural, relatable way. This makes sampling feel exciting, personal, and very NYC-driven rather than just promotional.
