What is your approach to engaging creators through direct messages?
I approach engaging creators through direct messages with a focus on personalization, value, and relationship-building rather than just outreach volume. First, I research each creator to understand their content style, audience, and past partnerships. This helps me tailor my message so it feels genuine and relevant instead of generic. When reaching out, I keep my message concise and personalized—mentioning specific content I liked and clearly explaining why they’re a good fit. I also lead with value by briefly outlining what they would gain from the collaboration, whether that’s compensation, exposure, or long-term partnership opportunities. I make sure the tone is professional but conversational, so it feels like a real connection rather than a cold pitch. I also include a clear call-to-action, such as scheduling a quick call or asking if they’re open to collaboration. Finally, I track responses and follow up respectfully if needed, while also maintaining relationships with creators over time—even if they don’t say yes immediately.
