How do you approach creating content for short-form video platforms?

This concept is based on simplicity, which includes the following components: one feeling, one second, and one step ahead. At the outset, I identify the emotion that needs to be portrayed in the first three seconds, and thereafter, I plan to make a simple story of the hook, build-up, and climax rather than putting everything together in one video. This includes using one detail per video, trimming unnecessary clips, overlaying text on video, and being sincere about reactions to make my videos understandable even without any sound. Lastly, once I upload my videos, I will be aware of their average watching time, re-watch rate, and saving rate.

What makes a TikTok video engaging to you?

For me, the most engaging aspect of a TikTok video is sincere emotions displayed in the first few seconds, stopping me in my tracks from swiping down further and allowing me to experience genuine feelings. The types of videos I relate to are those containing straightforward, genuine emotions that aren’t being portrayed by the individual in any way. They need to have a distinct beginning with a hook as well as a subtle conclusion to make me reflect on it before moving on. I enjoy it when the images, captions, and sounds all complement each other while giving off only one emotion. The videos of this type are the ones that engage me in the process and that I watch over again. In the case of faith-based content, engagement means a brief moment with God in between noise, rather than a preachy snippet or advertisement.
