I would first take time to understand the full context of the situation; how it started, who was involved, and how it evolved to the point it's at today. From there, I would talk to the people involved to understand where they're coming from and how they feel about things, then work to de-escalate the situation through communication, compromise, and problem-solving.

I always consider the brand and how they make their products, ensuring that they create products ethically and safely while giving back to the community. From there, I make sure that a product is well-suited for my skintype and check to see if others have had similar or different experiences from mine.
