I am a Senior majoring in Science, Technology, and Society and Biology at Vassar College and was a depop ambassador in the fall. As an ambassador we represented Depop on campus, motivated students to shop secondhand, fostered a community in sustainable fashion, and started partnerships with Vassar-run student organizations. I believe that my experiences with retail, customer service, and operating my own small business make me an ideal candidate for this position. I held the year-long position of being a House Fellow Intern in which I planned events for my dormitory where I built skills in event planning and direct community outreach. On campus, I am a very energetic and bubbly person. My experience founding Cher Studios, a one-person-run nail salon, and earning second place in the 2024 Vassar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Pitch Competition has given me first hand exposure to marketing. To this day, I have had over 100 clients and manage a Vassar-based Instagram account with over 1,100 followers. The account is followed by a wide range of students, making it a highly effective platform for promoting campus-related events and tea through my personal content and my content as the only business run out of my dorm room as a NYS Licensed Nail Technician and Tooth Gem Artist. I would have content about the tea app and all the "anonymous" stories I have heard as a nail technician. My appointments with clients would be a perfect time to engage with students and create buzz around Tea.
