Can you describe a time you created engaging content on TikTok or Instagram?
A standout example of my ability to innovate within social trends is a TikTok I created during the 'ideal wedding lineup' craze. While most creators were posting aesthetic, realistic goals, I was the first to subvert the trend by creating an intentionally 'unrealistic' version. I featured a bizarrely diverse lineup of celebrity grooms and guests that pulled from multiple fandoms—reaching 7.1 million views and 1.6 million likes.
This video taught me that the most engaging content often comes from taking a familiar format and making it unexpected. By appealing to several different internet communities at once, I was able to maximize the video's shareability and 'save' potential. I apply this same strategic thinking to everything I create, whether it’s a viral hit or high-utility travel content for a niche audience.

How do you stay up-to-date with social media trends?
To stay up to date, I use a mix of active participation and analytical tracking. Since I am currently on exchange in Hong Kong, I spend a lot of time in the travel, lifestyle, and productivity spaces on TikTok and Instagram. This lets me see which audio tracks and visual hooks are gaining traction in real-time
