When evaluating micro-influencers to post for a campaign, what engagement metrics do you consider?

When I evaluate micro-influencers for a campaign, I consider several key engagement metrics to ensure they align with our goals. First, I look at the engagement rate, which helps me gauge how well the influencer’s audience interacts with their content relative to their follower count. A higher engagement rate is often more valuable than a large following, as it shows genuine interest. I also assess reach and impressions to understand the visibility of the influencer’s posts, along with the volume and sentiment of comments, which tell me how their audience is reacting to the content. Shares are another important metric, as they indicate how likely the audience is to spread the message. For influencers who use Stories, I check views, replies, and other interactions like polls, as these provide insight into more transient content engagement. I also keep an eye on follower growth to ensure the influencer is attracting a relevant and engaged audience, though I watch out for sudden spikes that may indicate purchased followers. If the influencer posts video content, I look at video views and average watch time to assess how engaging the videos are. Finally, if there’s a CTA in the campaign, I track the click-through rate to see how well the influencer drives traffic or conversions. If a campaign hashtag is involved, I monitor its performance to measure the overall reach and success of the campaign. These metrics together help me determine if the influencer is a good fit for the campaign.
