Interview Questions
Deep Blue.
Content Creator for Sustainable Streetwear Brand

If you were hired, how would you approach building out a content plan for Deep Blue?
If I were hired, I’d build a content plan for Deep Blue that uses creative video storytelling, showcasing the lifestyle and the mission. I’d create short TikToks and Reels that capture everyday coastal moments in the hoodies, behind the scenes pieces on how the hoodies are made, community-based videos, like how to style, and unboxings. This blend would thoughtfully showcase the purpose of the brand, create engagement, and turn customers into a community.

What do you think is more important for a brand: going viral or building consistent community engagement? Why?
I believe building consistent community engagement is far more important for a brand than simply going viral. As a former small business owner, I’ve seen how creating a community around a shared passion allows people to connect, express themselves, and feel genuine loyalty to a brand. Viral moments can bring temporary attention, but they don’t always translate to sales or long-term success. Consistent engagement, on the other hand, fosters authenticity and trust, which ultimately drive sustainable growth.

Share an experience that highlights your ability to build strong relationships.
While running my small business, I built a strong connection with Luca Bond, a content creator who perfectly reflects my brand, Tropical Slimes. She loved my products and consistently promoted them, even featuring them in her "Get Ready With Me" videos. Our relationship deepened when she reached out after a personal loss, asking to include my slimes in gift baskets for two young girls. This aligned with my mission—to bring joy to others—so I was more than happy to help. She continued to support my brand, and we stayed in touch personally. Now, we’re working on a special product line together, a collaboration we know her audience will love. This experience showed me the power of genuine connections in business—going beyond sales to build meaningful relationships.
