Interview Questions
Chaser Water
UGC Creator for Hydration Brand

How do you create authentic content that feels native on TikTok and Instagram?
I create authentic content by making it feel like something you’d naturally see on the app, not an ad. That means using real moments, casual filming, and talking like I would to a friend instead of sounding scripted. I also lean into trends and formats already performing well, but adapt them to fit my own voice or the brand so it still feels original. Keeping things a little imperfect and spontaneous helps it feel more native and relatable on TikTok and Instagram.

What tools or apps do you use for editing short-form videos and photos?
I use different editing tools depending on the content and how polished it needs to be. For quick, trend-based videos, I mainly use CapCut because it’s fast and made for TikTok-style editing. I’ll also use InShot for simple edits like cuts, text, and resizing. For more branded or aesthetic content, I use Canva for graphics and layouts.

How do you approach creating engaging content for social media platforms like TikTok?
I stay up to date by using TikTok and Instagram daily and treating them like research, not just social media. I pay attention to my FYP and Reels to see what sounds, formats, and styles keep popping up, and I follow creators in my niche to see what’s performing well. I also use tools like TikTok Creative Center to catch rising trends early and save ideas I can adapt later. On top of that, I keep up with marketing creators who explain why certain content works so I can apply trends in a smart, brand-relevant way instead of just copying them.
