As a high school student, I began my journey as a mental health advocate. I was a youth representative on a county board. I was responsible to understand the youth in my county and what I thought the board should do to help curate to their needs and struggles. With time, I was able to help organize events and services that were implemented into schools that greatly helped the students. I watched kids struggle with mental health for years, and when I had the opportunity to help I was over the moon excited. I was able to convince fellow classmates of mine to reach out for help, and helping my community really gave me a lot of joy
