Yes! I used to work as a server, and every weekend my manager hosted a competition where she would give the servers $1 for every Special that we sold. Needless to say I tried everything I could to sell them! I found that it helped to ask the cooks if I could try a bite of the specials so that I would have an honest opinion to share. I think people respond well to genuine enthusiasm!
