Formula Fig

Digital Marketing Associate

Formula Fig Profile Image

What's one thing about Formula Fig that made you want to apply? Be specific.

I was excited to apply for this role because it offers a complete, hands-on marketing experience. During my summer internship, I improved websites’ Search Engine Optimization (SEO), but I didn't have the chance to see the resulting performance data. At Formula Fig, the idea of not only building campaigns but also analyzing their metrics is a key reason I applied.

Describe how you manage your time when juggling multiple deadlines. Give a specific example

Last spring, I had 3 jobs did volunteering at a local school, and was a full time student at Duke. So I had deadlines due all the time, at random times, and at first I was overwhelmed, especially because I didn't have someone constantly telling me what I needed to do and when it was due. Everything was on me. This was until I utilized a couple of simple tools, Google Calendar and notes. Having every assignment in a checklist form made it seem managable and seeinging them all on a calender took the relief away. I even put in my workout times, lunch, everything.

Tell us about a time you taught yourself a new tool or skill without being asked. What was it, and how did you approach learning it?

I absolutely love learning new skills. I have taught myself how to play the ukulele, juggle, skateboard, solder, cook, and a ton of other random things. I am currently learning Spanish, and this is a really tough one because you have to have a lot of patience with yourself. That is really the main thing when learning a new skill or task, not giving up or thinking it is "impossible" or "too hard". As long as you keep chipping away and stay consistent, you will become better and better each day.
