What makes a recipe post stand out to you?

I prefer when each step is shown succinctly, each chop of an ingredient or pouring of a sauce helps me visualize myself making the same recipe in my own kitchen. I also love when the recipe is in the bio and includes metric measurements! This is important for me since I use a food scale to weigh my portions and share resources with people who are not used to the US customary system (international students in my building).

How would you create engaging cooking content for social media?

I would use my own personal story to help make cooking more approachable for those who want to start, but haven't. I have ADHD, and using cooking (more specifically baking) as a way to manage my symptoms and regain skills like focus and task completion. This has been so impactful for me as I enter my senior year of college and prepare for life as an independent adult. I would show people how simple it is to get started. You don't need fancy machinery or expensive ingredients to be healthy and take control over what you eat--you just need a recipe and a can-do attitude! If I can do it on a college's student's budget and a short attention span, I'm sure I can show many others how to do the same.
