How do you approach creating visually appealing content for social media?

When creating visually appealing content for social media, I focus on making it trend-driven and relatable by starting with what’s currently capturing attention—whether that’s viral transitions, trending audio, or quick tutorial formats. I pair these trends with authentic storytelling, like showing real hair struggles and the satisfying results of using the product, so the content feels both aspirational and approachable. I keep visuals clean, bright, and consistent with the brand, but always with a focus on grabbing attention in the first few seconds. The goal is to ride the wave of what’s popular while making it feel genuine and helpful, so viewers not only enjoy the content but also see themselves in it.

WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I am a Junior at the University of Florida and spend my free time creating content, travelling, and reading. I have worked with several brands as a campus ambassador (including Samsung, Avatara Skin, Rate My Professors, and more recently -- Intuit). Off campus, I have worked with over 100 brands in my 3 years of monetizing my content.

What WORKS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND WHY?

What works best on social media is content that feels authentic, relatable, and easy to engage with. Short-form video, trending audio, and eye-catching visuals grab attention, but what keeps people watching is storytelling that feels personal and genuine. Audiences—especially students—connect with humor, behind-the-scenes moments, and content that reflects their own daily lives. Interactive elements like polls, challenges, and comments drive community because they invite participation instead of just passive scrolling. In short, social media works when it creates connection, not just consumption.
