I regularly monitor platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest to identify emerging trends in content formats, sounds, editing styles and audience engagement patterns. Rather than passively consuming content, I analyse high-performing posts to understand why they resonate with audiences, paying particular attention to hooks, storytelling techniques and shareable elements.

I also follow industry resources such as Later, Hootsuite and Social Media Today, which provide insights on algorithm changes, trend forecasting and evolving user behaviour. These platforms help me stay informed about broader shifts in the social media landscape.

In addition, I track creators and brands within relevant niches to see how trends are adapted in practice and how audiences respond through likes, comments and saves. I often save or document emerging ideas so I can review patterns and apply them strategically to content planning.

By combining platform observation, industry insights and content analysis, I’m able to stay informed about current trends while also understanding how to apply them in a way that feels authentic and effective for different audiences.
