PARADE
Parade University Campus Rep
What is your favorite marketing campaign you've seen?
I've recently worked as an ambassador for a beauty brand for my university in which a real-life pop-up shop was brought to campus. In the pop-up students were able to find their perfect foundation shade and even more so have multiple photo opportunities to then post to their own socials. At the end, students were given a goodie bag filled with products in which to this day some still come up to me saying how much they love the product. The line was well over at least 2 hours and yet people still waited and believed it was worth it. This same thing could be done with Parade products!
What do you think most brands are doing wrong in regards to their content strategy?
After working behind the scenes of a marketing agency for a multi-millionaire dollar beauty brand as our client, I have came to learn that focusing on the audience rather than content is much more important in conversion rates. Take Tik Tok for example, the "Gen Z" dominated platform is able to grasp audiences of all ages by providing a specifically catered experience to the user, no matter what age, interests, etc. When you open that app it is strictly "For You." Brands should leverage this by providing smaller yet specific content in multiple amounts. A quick 10 second ad for a user based on their hobbies/interests, is much more meaningful than a 30 second one appealed to all of Gen Z.
