What interests you most about being a campus correspondent for Baller Alert?
What interests me most about being a campus correspondent for Baller Alert is the opportunity to highlight authentic student voices and the culture that exists on college campuses—especially at an HBCU like Tennessee State University. Campus life is full of important conversations, creativity, and emerging talent that often doesn’t get the visibility it deserves. As someone who works directly with students every day, I see firsthand the stories, trends, and moments that resonate with our community—from student leaders and campus events to real conversations about relationships, career goals, mental health, and culture. Being a campus correspondent would allow me to bridge the gap between what’s happening on campus and a larger digital audience. I’m excited about the opportunity to create engaging content that highlights student perspectives, showcases campus culture, and sparks conversations that students genuinely want to be part of. I’m especially interested in helping amplify the energy, creativity, and influence of HBCU students while contributing to a platform like Baller Alert that already has a strong voice in culture, entertainment, and social conversations.

How would you create engaging content that resonates with your campus community?
As a Student Success Liaison at Tennessee State University, I focus on creating content that feels authentic to the student experience while also being informative and engaging. To create content that resonates with my campus community, I would focus on three main strategies: culture, conversation, and connection. First, I would highlight real student experiences through short-form videos, interviews, and event coverage. Whether it’s student organizations, campus events, or trending conversations among students, showcasing familiar faces and relatable moments helps students feel seen and encourages them to engage with the content. Second, I would tap into topics that matter to students right now—such as relationships, career goals, mental health, pop culture, and social media trends. By using polls, Q&A boxes, and interactive posts on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, students can actively participate rather than just watch the content. Finally, I would create on-campus activations and collaborations with student leaders, organizations, and influencers to bring the content to life. This could include street interviews, event recaps, student opinion segments, or highlighting viral moments happening around campus. As someone who works closely with students every day, I understand what captures their attention and what conversations they’re already having. My goal would be to create content that feels fun, culturally relevant, and reflective of the real voices on campus, while naturally integrating the Baller Alert brand into those conversations.
