Tell us about a meal from the past year that you absolutely loved.
During my spring semester in New Orleans, I got to eat at Restaurant R'evolution. I started with their turtle soup which was super rich and some of the best I've had in NOLA. For my entree I had the "Triptych of Quail" which was Quail served three ways. It came with one stuffed full of boudin, another breaded and fried, and the third absinthe-glazed over a bed of dirty rice. My personal favorite was the southern fried which was served on a biscuit with gravy. This piece reminded me on what true southern cooking felt like with how the biscuit, gravy, and quail all came together with each bite. Finally, I enjoyed their creme brulee bread pudding for dessert. The rich and creamy bread was the perfect cap for a wonderful meal which left nothing in question for what Restaurant R'evolution was about.
