How would you engage fellow students to try Uber Shuttles?
The most reliable way to get BU students to pay attention is to be where they already are. Tabling near the GSU or along Comm Ave between classes and before evening events has worked consistently in my experience with student clubs.
It would also help to lead with a real pain point. BU students are constantly moving between West, Central, and East Campus, and late at night or in bad weather, the Night Bus isn't always dependable. A lot of people I know have complained about exactly that. This isn't a hard sell once students know the option exists.
For reach, I have direct access to org group chats through CSA and my sorority. A casual "hey, this is actually useful" from someone people already trust would engage people better than just promotional flyers. They would also then pass the message along to their friends. If there's a promo code or first-ride discount involved, that's the first thing I'd mention every time.
I'd also make feedback feel like part of the process rather than an afterthought. A QR code at tabling or a quick Instagram poll goes a long way in making students feel like they're actually being heard.
Finally, I have a connection to StuGov, and they've already expressed interest in getting students more involved with Uber at BU. That's an opportunity to make this feel campus-backed rather than purely promotional.
