Interview Questions
Pinch
Influencer Marketing Coordinator

How would you find influencers to work with pinch?
Honestly, I’d start by just scrolling the platforms where our target audience hangs out. If we’re trying to reach a specific demographic or niche, I’d search hashtags and topics they care about, then look for creators who are getting solid engagement - not necessarily huge follower counts, but people whose comments section shows their audience actually cares.
I’d also check out who our competitors are working with and see what’s performing well for them. Sometimes the best leads come from just paying attention to what’s already working in the space.
For tracking emerging creators, I’d set up alerts for relevant keywords and regularly browse the “trending” or “explore” sections. A lot of it is just staying plugged in daily and developing an eye for what content is resonating.
If we have budget for it, creator discovery tools can speed things up, but honestly a lot of the best partnerships I’ve seen came from someone just noticing a creator blowing up early and reaching out before everyone else did.

Are you comfortable negotiating rates with creators?
I’m confident in my outreach and negotiation abilities. I understand that successful creator partnerships start with genuine, personalized communication - not copy-paste templates. I take time to research each creator’s content, audience, and brand to craft pitches that show I actually understand their work and can offer real value.
When it comes to negotiation, I approach it as a collaboration rather than a transaction. I’m comfortable discussing rates, deliverables, and timelines while finding terms that work for both sides. I know how to be persistent without being pushy, and I’m not afraid of rejection - it’s part of the process when you’re reaching out to multiple creators daily.
That said, I’m always looking to improve. Every creator interaction teaches me something new about what resonates in outreach and how to structure better partnerships. I’m ready to hit the ground running and refine my approach as I go.

WHAT's YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH MAKING CONTENT?
I have hands-on experience creating content across multiple platforms and I’m excited to expand that further. I understand the nuances of what works on different channels - from short-form vertical video on TikTok and Reels to longer-form storytelling on YouTube.
I’m comfortable with the full content creation process: ideation, scripting, filming/recording, editing, and optimizing for each platform’s algorithm and audience expectations. I also understand the importance of staying on top of trending formats, sounds, and styles to keep content relevant and engaging.
Most importantly, I’m eager to learn and adapt quickly. The content landscape moves fast, and I’m committed to continuously improving my skills and staying current with what resonates with audiences.
