How would you engage and grow a brand community on social media?
I’d engage and grow a brand community by making the audience feel involved, not just talked to. That means creating interactive content like polls, questions, replies to comments, and reposting user-generated content so people feel seen. I’d keep the tone authentic and consistent, show behind-the-scenes moments, and encourage conversation rather than just promotion. By showing up regularly, responding genuinely, and creating content people can relate to, the brand starts to feel like a community people want to be part of—not just a page they follow.

What makes content go viral on TikTok?
Content goes viral on TikTok when it grabs attention immediately and feels authentic. Strong hooks in the first few seconds, trending sounds, and fast-paced, engaging edits help stop people from scrolling. Relatable or entertaining ideas that people want to share also play a big role. When content feels natural, creative, and aligned with what’s trending—while still being easy to watch and understand—it’s more likely to get pushed by the algorithm and spread quickly.

How often do you make social media content?
I create social media content almost every day through my role as the social media chair for HARAYA and my work with Campus Activities at St. John’s University. These roles have given me hands-on experience planning, creating, and posting content consistently for different audiences. Outside of that, I also create content for my personal TikTok as a creative outlet, where I make day-to-day vlog-style videos. This helps me stay in tune with trends while experimenting creatively and keeping content authentic and engaging.
