While I don't have formal product management work experience, I've consistently applied strong project management skills in various capacities throughout my academic and personal life. A prime example comes from my 14 years in scouting, where I frequently took on leadership roles in organizing and executing complex group initiatives and community projects.

For instance, I was responsible for coordinating a team of 7 peers to plan and execute a significant outdoor activity, which involved managing logistics, setting clear objectives, and ensuring the timely completion of various preparation tasks, from resource allocation to safety briefings. My role required not only clear communication within the team to delegate tasks effectively but also the ability to anticipate challenges and adapt plans on the fly.

Similarly, within my Informatics Engineering program, group projects often require me to coordinate technical tasks, manage shared code repositories (Git), and ensure our team meets project milestones under tight academic deadlines. These experiences have equipped me with practical skills in planning, execution, and communication that are directly transferable to managing student-side GIGs, recruiting talent, and ensuring project success.

While I have not yet had the opportunity to successfully participate in a GIG on Home From College, I am genuinely eager to start and contribute my skills to your platform. I have applied for GIGs previously, and although I wasn't selected, I've used those experiences to refine my understanding of the platform's needs and how my diverse skill set aligns with roles like this one.
