In a given week, your responsibilities range from updating financial models, to scheduling with external partners, to tracking inventory movement, to prepping decks for a marketing meeting. How do you prioritize and execute when everything is urgent?
When everything is urgent, I set priorities by determining what is actually important and what has the biggest influence on other people's workflows. I divide things up into manageable chunks and then set aside specific time for each one according to due dates and requirements. In order to effectively manage several tasks at once, I also maintain my flexibility by communicating early if deadlines change and by using tools like calendar reminders and checklists.

Tell us about a time when maintaining accurate data was crucial to your role. How did you ensure the data stayed clean, up to date, and aligned across systems or teams?
Keeping accurate data was crucial for my March Madness analytics research because I worked with big NCAA databases, such as KenPom ratings and past tournament outcomes. By utilizing R to automate data wrangling, standardizing team names across datasets, and validating sources, I made sure the data remained current and clean. Building trustworthy models and producing visuals that presented an engaging, data-driven story required this accuracy.

Walk us through a time when you built or managed a complex spreadsheet system to track operational or financial data.
As a Peer Advisor, I built and managed a spreadsheet system to track student meeting attendance, advising notes, and engagement across multiple first-year sections. I improved follow-up contact and established a more uniform advising experience throughout the program by using formulae and filters to track patterns and make sure no students were overlooked.
