How do you stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends?
I am constantly scrolling. I’m not interested in making "little" content; I want to create high-noise, niche moments that demand a reaction from an audience. I’m drawn to the "aesthetic vs. chaotic" duality of Gen Z marketing. On one hand, I want to lean into the cozy, pink aesthetic—think candle warmers, 0.5x lens shots, and the perfect winter or valentines day (Candle Warmers are viral right now). On the other, I believe the best way to drive engagement is to be bold and a little controversial. I’m not afraid to be "mean" if it means being honest; I’d rather go viral for calling out a dusty, "ugly" Yankee Candle than post a safe ad that no one remembers. By blending Candier’s fragrance-forward joy with a bit of fun energy, I can turn our social media into a community that feels like an exclusive, slightly chaotic inside joke. What attracts you to influencer and social media marketing?
I’m drawn to influencer and social media marketing because it’s where human psychology meets high-speed creativity. For a brand like Candier, I love that I can trade stale corporate monologues for vibrant, "main character energy" storytelling. As a Gen Z creator, I know my generation sees right through traditional ads; we crave the unfiltered and the nostalgic. I’m excited to use Canva and Adobe to lean into Candier’s bold color palette, turning Shopify Collabs and creator gifting into authentic moments of joy that feel like a recommendation from a friend, not a sales pitch.
