How would you use social media to build relationships with businesses and get them excited about a brand?
First, I would focus on leveraging the company’s unique value proposition more clearly across social media. Right now, the content shows what the product is and that it is appealing and trendy, but it does not fully emphasize why it stands out. I would create more content that highlights not just that people like the product, but specifically why they choose it over alternatives. This way, when businesses view the brand’s social media, they can immediately understand why it is worth investing in and carrying in their stores. In addition, I would be more intentional with how marketing strategies are presented through content. For example, using bold visuals, clear messaging, and consistent branding elements can signal to businesses that the brand is strategic and positioned to stand out. Social media should not just market the product, but also demonstrate how the brand markets itself effectively. I would also make the content more results based. While the current content shows that the product is different, I would emphasize the outcome for the consumer and what changes when they use or consume the product. This could be done through long term partnerships with creators who can consistently show the product’s impact over time, building credibility and trust. Overall, by clearly communicating value, showing strategic marketing execution, and emphasizing results, social media can be used not just to attract consumers, but to build strong relationships with businesses and get them excited about the brand.

How do you build rapport with someone you've never met over DM?
In the past, I volunteered for a nonprofit organization focused on promoting brain regeneration research, where I was responsible for managing their social media and recruiting content creators to promote the foundation. A large portion of this role involved outreach through direct messages. Through this experience, I found that the most effective approach is to avoid copy and paste style messaging and instead take the time to study each account carefully. For every DM I sent, I would strategically review the creator’s content to understand their niche, goals, marketing style, and what was most important to them. I would then incorporate that language and those key themes into my message to make it more personalized and relevant, which significantly increased engagement. Additionally, I believe it is important to build familiarity before reaching out. Rather than following the account and immediately sending a message, I would first engage with their content for a period of time by liking, commenting, and interacting with posts that aligned with the nonprofit’s mission. This approach helps establish recognition, so when I do reach out it is more familiar and credible.
