Describe your design philosophy and where you find inspiration.
My design philosophy revolves around creating visually captivating designs that serve as complementary representations of existing art forms, such as music. I believe that designs should enhance another piece of art/project rather than stand alone. I have personally achieved this by including dark backgrounds that provide a striking contrast to the foreground elements. I employ colorful fonts with interesting designs to add vibrancy and catch the viewer's attention. While prioritizing legibility, I ensure that the fonts themselves possess a unique and captivating aesthetic. Additionally, I draw inspiration from a mix of retro, modern, and futuristic color palettes, infusing a sense of nostalgia, contemporariness, and forward-thinking into my designs.
Simplicity and harmony are key aspects of my design approach. I strive for a balanced interplay between the foreground and background elements, where the background serves as a canvas to elevate and spotlight the focal points.

Describe a time you took a leadership role in your community.
One impactful instance where I assumed a leadership role within my community was through my role as an older sister and mentor. When my sister and her best friend entered high school as freshmen, I recognized the opportunity to guide and support them during this crucial transition. As a senior in high school myself, I proactively took on the responsibility of mentoring them and helping them get involved in extracurricular activities. I encouraged them to join clubs such as the 'Science Club' and 'Key Club'—clubs that I also participated in. Although I was in my final year, ready to graduate, I made sure they had the chance to immerse themselves fully. Witnessing their growth and success brought me immense joy. My sister went on to become the president of Key Club, and her best friend served as the vice president during their senior year. Throughout their high school journey, I provided guidance on various aspects of life, including navigating the challenges of adolescence, pursuing higher education, and embracing personal development. I'm incredibly proud of their recent accomplishments, as they graduated from both high school and college through a dual enrollment program. Now, as they embark on their exciting paths at UC Irvine and UC Berkeley, I'm thrilled to witness the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their academic endeavors and the wider community.
