I have experience creating content for my own personal accounts including tiktok and instagram. I also have experience creating content in a professional setting during an internship. Lastly, I have edited and created video content for a collective I am a part of here in Chicago.

How would you capture authentic surprise reactions on video?
I’d capture authentic surprise reactions by keeping the camera rolling before the moment even happens so nothing feels staged or recreated. I’d make sure the person feels comfortable and not hyper-aware of being filmed, and then introduce something genuinely unexpected like a reveal or a guest showing up. I might even put the camera in a hidden spot so it feels more natural, and then use close-ups or different angles to really bring out the authenticity in their expressions and body language!
