What does authenticity mean to you?

Authenticity means expressing my true self without conforming to societal expectations or stereotypes. It means being genuine, true, and honest with oneself and others, and not compromising personal values or beliefs for the sake of fitting in or gaining approval. Authenticity also encompasses a sense of cultural identity and pride by embracing my Asian background, celebrating my cultural heritage, and integrating it into my personal and academic life. Additionally, authenticity involves pursuing personal passions and interests, and making choices that align with my true desires and goals rather than succumbing to external pressures. Furthermore, authenticity involves having the courage to speak up, share my opinions, and advocate for myself and others. It means being unafraid to challenge the status quo, address social issues, and promote inclusivity and equality.
