Interview Questions

Tell me about a time you experimented with content creation or marketing—what worked, what didn’t, and what did you learn?
I had creative freedom for some Instagram posts for a real estate company over the summer. It was clear to see what content held people's attention and what didn't. When the content had a good hook, good sound design, and engaging content targeted to the right audience, they performed well. I learned what that audience liked to see and would edit/implement trends and current ideas into the plan.

Can you walk me through your process for editing a video and audio podcast episode from raw footage to final upload?
I use Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro. I would take the raw footage, sound design, and video (if applicable) and import them into the software. I would start with the intro, adding sound design/music before the intro starts. Add transitions between segments, clip audio and video clips efficiently. Transition to concluding music/sound design before the call to action at the end and then having the music keep playing for five seconds after the episode is finished. I would send it off for feedback (while saving all original content so I can add parts if needed) and tweak the footage and audio until you're satisfied.

What strategies would you use to help grow a podcast’s audience, especially on social media?
I would implement a call to action at the end of each episode. Post short grasping content from the podcast on social media. Ask users what they would like to hear in an episode.
