Tell us about the club or student group are you involved in and who you Would host this party for.
This year I am part of the Women of Color Collective as the Event Coordinator. WOCC exists to empower and encourage women of color on our campus. We welcome all students from diverse backgrounds and majors. We organize weekly/monthly events to create community and fun. Some of our events include Galentine’s event, Welcome Picnic, and Karaoke Night. All these events would be a great opportunity to promote Odele Beauty!

What is your experience with planning and hosting events on campus?
Through my work study position on campus I’ve had the opportunity to plan and host a tabling event for Welcome weekend. I planned and connected with the event teams to discuss the set up and the materials we would need to create a welcoming environment for students and their families. It was an overall success and where I gained event planning experience. I’m also part of a club on campus and have had to lead/assist with various events. I’m more than equipped to plan and host events on campus.
