HORMBLES CHORMBLES
In-store UGC Content for Target Launch

What hook / content would you use for your in-store video?
I’d go for a natural, in-the-moment “POV” style hook that feels super relatable and not overly scripted. Something like: “POV: you came to Target for one thing but found a protein chocolate that actually tastes good??” I’d film myself walking through Target, spotting Hormbles Chormbles on the shelf, grabbing it, and doing a quick taste test in-store or right after checkout. I’d focus on capturing genuine reactions and highlighting the surprise factor (10g protein, 0g sugar, but still actually good). The vibe would be very casual and aesthetic—clean shots, good lighting, and quick cuts to keep it engaging. I’d also lean into trending audio and captions to make it feel native to TikTok/IG Reels instead of an ad.

Can you share an example of UGC you produced that drove engagement or conversion?
I’ve created multiple UGC-style videos for lifestyle and beauty brands that focus on natural storytelling and product integration. One of my strongest performing formats is “real experience” content—where I show the full journey of using a product (before, during, and after), combined with genuine reactions. For example, I’ve created content centered around product discovery and first impressions that drove strong engagement through relatable hooks and visually engaging edits. My approach focuses on making the audience feel like they’re experiencing the product with me, which helps increase watch time, interaction, and overall performance.

How do you create authentic content that feels native on TikTok and Instagram?
I focus on making content that feels like something you’d naturally scroll past on your For You Page, not a traditional ad. That means starting with a strong hook in the first 1–2 seconds, using relatable scenarios, and keeping the pacing fast with quick cuts and real reactions. I usually build content around everyday moments—like routines, getting ready, or casual day-in-the-life clips—and integrate the product naturally into that flow. Instead of overexplaining, I show the experience (using it, reacting to it, incorporating it into my lifestyle), which performs better and feels more authentic. I also test different variations of the same concept—different hooks, angles, and storytelling styles—so the content is optimized not just for engagement but for performance in paid media as well.
