Describe your experience with filming and editing short social media videos.
I have hands-on experience filming and editing short-form social media videos, especially content designed for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. I’m comfortable shooting both iPhone and camera-based footage, focusing on clean composition, natural lighting, and movement that feels organic rather than overly staged. I often film in vertical format and plan shots with hooks in mind—capturing attention within the first few seconds. On the editing side, I edit videos to be fast-paced and visually engaging, using jump cuts, trending audio, on-screen text, and smooth transitions to keep viewers watching. I’m intentional about pacing, aligning cuts with music beats, and adding captions or text overlays to make content easy to consume without sound. I also adapt edits to match a brand’s aesthetic, whether that’s playful and colorful or clean and minimal. Overall, I approach short-form video with a marketing mindset—thinking about storytelling, brand voice, and audience engagement—while staying flexible and creative so the content feels authentic and native to each platform.
