What is an example of a time when you delivered results above and beyond what was expected of you?

As a PR intern at Mattel, I assisted with multiple projects the team was managing, while also managing my own intern project. For my final project, I was tasked to give a presentation on what the PR team could do in the future to increase outreach through both traditional media and social media. To do so, I evaluated secondary research on current news consumption trends among millennial & Gen-Z audiences, developed a strategy and template for press kit development, and designed my deck fully from scratch.

These deliverables were much more than what my manager had expected to come out of the presentation, but my team was pleasantly surprised. At the end, they asked if I could share my deck and other resources to share with the vice president.

While wrapping up my bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Advertising, I also currently co-run and own a pop-up cafe side gig. Our brand has served over 300 orders and have gathered over 35k+ views on our social media account across three pop up events. These results are much more than we would expect since we do not operate multiple times in a week, but despite that we have gathered a great amount of brand awareness in our communities on campus.

what is the most important part of an event experience?

I believe the most important part of an event experience is making a memorable impact on attendees and audience. This can definitely be executed through elements that utilize one or many of the five senses, and by doing so creates an immersive experience for attendees. Experiential marketing excites me because of the endless ways a brand can bring their own twists on activities and if executed well, it can make a meaningful impact for the brand's visibility.
