What excites you about creating content that reflects real life rather than polished or overly produced posts?
What excites me most about creating content that reflects real life is the chance to be truly authentic and vulnerable. I don’t want to just show the "highlight reel". I want to share the parts that are often overlooked, like eczema flares, skin breakouts, or stressful moments when I’m juggling lab work, RA responsibilities, and self-care. Showing these real-life challenges, like when I have a bad skin day or a flare-up, makes the content feel more relatable and honest. I think people connect with that rawness especially with economic recessions or global warming that are pretty transformative. It’s important for me to share how I manage those moments. These moments include what I do to help my skin, the routines I use, and the products that make a difference, even on the hard days. I want others to see that it’s okay to not have everything together all the time and that self-care isn’t just for the good days. It’s about showing how we take care of ourselves through the ups and downs. For example, I might share a flare-up I’m managing, talk about what I’m doing to address it, and show how I incorporate hydration or a product like Weddell Water into my routine to help. It makes everything feel real, and I think that’s what people appreciate most.
