In order to create content that resonates with Gen Z, it is imperative that you focus on authenticity, purpose, and creativity. This generation places a high value on raw unfiltered storytelling over polished and refined produced content so using a genuine voice is a must to gain trust. Short videos on platforms such as Tiktok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts require you to grab the audience’s attention within the first few seconds and maintain keen visuals with captions, motion text, and music to improve engagement. Gen Z also tends to favor brands with a meaningful and genuine message such as values of inclusivity, sustainability, and mental health. Finally, make sure the content is just as humorous as it is empowering.
