I think the most important aspect is to not just "build" the online community, but to communicate with people, ask them what they want and what they need. Create safe and comfortable space within community is a must.

What ways do you plan on sourcing creators, and how will you focus on specifically finding creators within a certain niche?
Research can be hard and draining but is key to success. Usually, I use several channels for finding creators within a niche. TikTok is one of them and to be honest the most efficient. Their search engine allows you to find hundreds of creators in any niche.
