How do you ensure your video content stays engaging and on-trend?
I keep my content engaging and on-trend by combining trend awareness with performance analysis.
First, I stay close to the platforms daily and track patterns—what hooks are repeating, which formats are getting high engagement, and how creators are structuring their videos. That helps me catch trends early.
Second, I don’t just copy trends—I adapt them to my niche and audience so the content still feels original and relevant.
Third, I focus heavily on retention. I structure every video with a strong hook, fast pacing, and no wasted moments, then use small pattern interrupts—like quick cuts or text shifts—to keep attention throughout.
Finally, I constantly test and analyze. I look at metrics like watch time, completion rate, shares, and saves to understand what’s actually working, then double down on that and refine the next videos.

What platforms are you most experienced creating short-form videos for?
I’m most experienced creating short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram, especially Reels. Those are the platforms I’ve focused on for building content around engagement, virality, and audience growth.
I understand how each platform works—TikTok being more trend-driven and fast-paced, while Instagram focuses more on polished content and brand consistency. I tailor my approach accordingly to get the best performance on each.
I’ve also explored formats that can work across both platforms, adapting hooks, pacing, and messaging to fit the audience and algorithm.

How do you stay updated on social media video trends?
I stay updated on social media video trends by being actively involved on the platforms daily, especially TikTok and Instagram. I don’t just scroll—I analyze. I look for patterns in what’s performing well, like hooks, formats, pacing, and topics that are repeating across multiple creators.
I also follow top creators and niche-specific pages to see how trends evolve and how different audiences respond. Along with that, I use explore pages and trending sections to catch ideas early before they become saturated.
Most importantly, I test trends myself. I create and post content, then track performance like watch time, engagement, and retention to understand what actually works, not just what looks popular. That hands-on testing helps me stay ahead instead of just following trends.
