Community Manager

Can you provide an example of a successful community engagement campaign you implemented in the past?

One successful community engagement campaign I led was through STEMinist WI, the nonprofit organization I co-founded. We organized a STEM education event aimed at middle and high school students from underrepresented communities. The event featured hands-on workshops in coding, robotics, and engineering, paired with a mentorship program led by college students in STEM fields. To promote the event, we leveraged social media marketing, local partnerships, and school outreach, which resulted in over 150 students attending. Post-event feedback highlighted increased interest in STEM careers among participants, and many signed up for follow-up programs, demonstrating the campaign's lasting impact.

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?

Uber could host a "March Madness Ride and Dine Experience" on campus, combining the excitement of the tournament with practical student perks. Set up a branded pop-up lounge near a high-traffic area like the Purdue Memorial Union or Mackey Arena, featuring big-screen TVs streaming games, free snacks, and Uber-themed basketball mini-games where students can win ride credits, merchandise, or food delivery discounts. To make it more interactive, Uber could introduce a "Bracket Ride Challenge," where students predict winners and earn additional discounts or prizes for each correct prediction, redeemable through the app.
