Share an experience that highlights your ability to build strong relationships.
As a mentor in Purdue’s Women in Engineering Program, I have been guiding a freshman student through her transition into university life and the engineering field. In one instance, she faced challenges balancing her coursework with extracurricular activities. Drawing from my own experiences, I helped her develop a personalized time management plan, prioritizing tasks and setting achievable goals. This approach not only improved her academic performance but also boosted her confidence. Our ongoing mentor-mentee relationship has strengthened through open communication and mutual trust.

Have you had sales or account management experience?
While I haven’t held formal sales or account management positions, my background in Industrial Engineering has equipped me with relevant skills. For instance, during my internship at a food and beverage company, I collaborated with the sales and marketing teams to enhance supply chain efficiency, which involved understanding customer needs and aligning them with operational capabilities. Additionally, leading a value stream mapping project for a transmission manufacturing company required effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders, akin to account management responsibilities. These experiences have developed my ability to manage client relationships and drive business objectives.
