Tell us about the club or student group are you involved in and who you Would host this party for.
I am currently an incoming senior and captain of the University of Washington Dance Team, a portion of UW Spirit which includes the cheer squad. As a member of UW Spirit, we have the amazing opportunity to dance/cheer on the sidelines for 70,000 people during Husky football games, travel across the country with our basketball and football teams, and compete in our own national championship in Orlando, Florida every January. During events, our performance look includes having our hair styled and down, which you can imagine gets a bit messy from flipping it around for hours on end. Additionally, we only have around 10-15 min to touch-up in between events as we are always on-the-go on game days, so we have to frantically scramble to fix our hair. I would love to host a party for the UW Spirit members to have the opportunity to sample and learn about the Odele Dry Shampoo. This way we can incorporate it into our game day routines, to really showcase the “Touch-Ups To Go” aspect of the dry shampoo during these busy days!

What is your experience with planning and hosting events on campus?
Being the Continuous Opening Bidding Director of my sorority, I was tasked with planning and hosting events to attract potential new members to our chapter. The most recent one I created was a glass painting event, where potential members could come and design a glass to take home, all while bonding with current members in the chapter. Along with providing materials, refreshments, and other goodies, I also designed flyers to be sent out to the UW community to catch the attention of those interested. Before the event, I set up tables and decorations, and made sure the event space was in the best condition possible. During the event, I was welcoming and made sure to stop and engage with everyone that attended. I additionally captured content to be uploaded to our social medias, like TikTok and Instagram. The event was a complete success, and we had record amounts of interested people show up! Through being COB Director, I have learned the extreme detail that goes into events, starting from planning all the way to execution and cleanup, and am confident I can plan an amazing Touch-Ups To Go event!
